BOOKCHOR is an independent and youth-driven bookstore start-up with a vision of keeping the legacy of written words, having its foundation from the year 2015. The online bookstore sells used, new, and almost new, Good and readable books at affordable prices. Browse through a variety of genres such as Non-fiction, Fiction, Teen Collection, and much more.
Bookchor.[1] was founded by Vidyut Sharma and three of his fellow mates in 2015. The initial idea stuck to their minds when they faced problems finding used books at affordable prices. When the four of them gathered together to brainstorm a solution, the first thing they came up with was an e-commerce platform that would sell used books at reasonable costs and easy availability. It is wholeheartedly managed by Mr. Vidyut and Mrs. Meenal nowadays. They started the company initially with 200 books that were bought from the Delhi book market. The company was then named ‘Buy Me Book’. Inspired by one of the international bestseller books.[2]
Current Impact
Bookchor currently has a total collection of 1M books that serve across pan India. It has a well-built community of readers and influencers. It is now a reliable source to import books from the US and the UK.
Bookchor has its warehouse in Sonipat, Haryana and Bengaluru, Karnataka. The well-qualified team makes sure to follow all the rules and regulations throughout the process. The books are subjected to stringent quality controls. People are often hesitant to purchase books online. We do not sell books that have been pirated or are damaged. We toss out books that have been written in. We inspect the spine for any damage. Old images and bookmarks are included in the books because they provide charm.
BookChor.com is now available on Android, iOS, and the web, and is operated by Bookchor Literary Solutions Pvt. Ltd. This organization not only sells books online, but it also allows users to advertise their books and sell them directly to potential buyers. Users can also contribute books to Shubh Foundation, BookChor's NGO partner, for the welfare of underprivileged kids.
BookChor has a user base of over 1.5 Million customers from PAN India. Their in-house CRM maintains statistics on the number of users. To meet customer demand nationwide, it has partnered with FedEx and India Post to deliver the books. Bookaholics can purchase books directly from the BookChor catalog or app, which includes over two lakh titles with hassle-free payment options online, cash on delivery, or even by check.
