Blue Moon is an upcoming film directed by Richard Linklater and produced by Sony Pictures Classics, Detour Filmproduction and Renovo Media Group in association with Wild Atlantic Pictures, Under the Influence and Cinetic Media. The film is a biopic of the later days of songwriter Lorenz Hart, written by Robert Kaplow. It stars Ethan Hawke, Margaret Qualley, Bobby Cannavale and Andrew Scott.

editA biopic of songwriter Lorenz Hart written by Robert Kaplow was reported in June 2024 with Richard Linklater attached as director and producer, alongside John Sloss.[1] Later that month, Ethan Hawke, Margaret Qualley, Bobby Cannavale and Andrew Scott joined the cast and Sony Pictures Classics were reported to have acquired worldwide distribution rights in addition to joining the project as co-financier. Principal photography is scheduled for Dublin in the summer of 2024.[2]
