The Bigkis Pinoy Movement (BIGKIS, transl. Bind Filipinos Movement) is a Filipino political party. The party is affiliated with the Alliance of Peoples Organization.[1]
In 2001, A Bigkis Pinoy representative (Efraim Genuino) was appointed by Gloria Macapagal Arroyo as the president of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation.[2][3]
In January 2002, Bigkis Pinoy and the Rebolusyonaryong Alyansang Makabansa formed an alliance at the Cuneta Astrodome, Pasay. Creating a alliance with the organization which helped remove the Marcos administration.[4]
In 2022, A candidate for senator ran under the Bigkis Movement Party, Leo Olarte, who gained 53rd with 566,240 votes.[5][6][7]
In the 2022 Laguna local elections, Bigkis gained the mayoral seat, the vice mayoral seat, and 4 council seats for the municipality of Los Baños, Laguna.[3]

Controversies
editEfraim Genuino, the Secretary of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation under Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, was charged with graft in 2011, he was found innocent and was de-charged of the alleged graft charges.[3]
In 2012, Geniuno, which was the mayor at that time, was sued by councilors Jay Rolusta and Francisco Lapis for alleged misuse of funds for the town of Los Baños, Laguna. Genuino was also charged with malversation for allegedly using rice funds worth 3 million pesos for an election campaign.[3]
