Big Size Entertainment was a Uganda based independent music label owned by Bash Luks. According to Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB), Big Size Entertainment was founded in 2015, signing Jim Siizer as its first recording artist.[1] The label went on to sign other artists including Miracle Brotherz and More Tyme.

History

edit

Founded in 2015, the first single released by the music label was Jim Siizer's “Shake Fi Dem” in 2016. Other singles are Freaky Girl (Bash Luks feat. Jim Siizer) and Emboozi ye Turkey (Jim Siizer),[2] Mama (More Tyme) and So Pretty (Miracle Brotherz). The label was to release a Big Size Entertainment all stars music album but things came up in an unexpected way. The label is no longer in operation as Bash Luks also known as Bashir Lukonge moved on to open a music label called Lot Fire Records.[1]

Cease operation

edit

In 2018, it was confirmed that the label is no longer operating, the reason for its shutdown was cited as difference in interests.[1] Bash Luks went on to establish another record label known as Lot Fire Records.

Post separation

edit

After separation, Big Size Entertainment artists performed on the same stage for the first time in 2022 during the launch of Nva Mubende Festival as Bash Luks was calling for artists’ unity.[3]
