Fredrik Eddari (Fredrik Mikael Rachid Hedberg Eddahri; 30 August 1977 — 26 November 2022), known by the stage name Big Fred. He was born in Rinkeby in Stockholm and died in Södermalm in Stockholm,[1][2][3]was a Swedish rapper, broadcaster, actor and comedian. His father came from Morocco and his mother was Swedish. Fredrik Eddari was trained as a doctor.[4]

Under the stage name Big Fred, Eddari became known as a rapper in connection with the big breakthrough for Swedish hip hop in the last years of the 1990s. He appeared on Petter's debut album Mitt sjätte sinne(Eng. My sixth sence) on the song Riddarna runt runda bordet(Eng. The nights at the round table). Eddari often worked with Ken Ring, both at concerts and on several of his records. He was seen, among other things, in the music video for the song Eld och djupa vatten(Eng. Fire and deep waters).

Ahead of the 2002 election, Eddari was the presenter of the social programme Fläsk(Eng. Pork) on Swedish television(SVT), together with Doreen Månsson.[5]In 2005 he was cast as the host of the UR program Krokodill(Eng. Crocodile[distorted]), alongside Thérèse Ekberg.[6]The following year, in 2006, he wrote and starred in the humor program Sen kväll with Pierre(Eng.Late Tonight Show with Pierre) which was part of SVT's humor initiative Humorlabbet(Eng. The Humor-lab). He then partnered with Felipe Leiva Wenger. In the spring of 2008, the couple's humor production Lille Al-fadji & Co(Eng. Little Al-Fadji & Co) – a late night spin-off with Pierre, was shown on the Swedish TV channel Kanal 5. He also played the character Abu Hassan in the radio show Hälliwüüd Radio(Eng. Hollywood Radio[distorted]) on the Swedish radio channel Radio P3.[7] In addition to humor productions and his role as a broadcaster, Eddari made a number of major and minor roles in a number of Swedish films. In 2003, Eddari and Månsson, with whom he made the program Fläsk,[8]participated in the TV film Dream team produced for SVT, where he played Kim, one of the main roles. In 2006, he played the role of Ali in the film Förortsungar(Eng. Suburban boys).[8]Eddari appeared in the 2009 film Metropia, where he voiced Mehmet. In the film, he starred opposite Juliette Lewis, Shanti Roney and Stellan Skarsgård.[9]In "Åsa-Nisse—wälkom to Knohult"(Eng. Welcome to Knohult[distorted]) he had a minor role as oil sheik 2.[8]
