Bharat Tech Foundation (BTF) is a Global Alliance of Indian Engineers across the globe working together to create a new, self-reliant and empowered Bharat. BTF is a nonprofit organization registered under Section 8 Not for Profit of the Indian Companies Act 2013. Bharat Tech Foundation officially Launched on 2nd April 2022 by Rajeev Chandrasekhar Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Electronics and Information Technology, at AICTE Head Quarters in Nelson Mandela Marg, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi.[1]
In 2019, Indian Engineers in UAE initiated an idea "to serve Bharat and contribute towards Nation Building" which led the formation of BTF. This thought was taken up by Indian Engineers to Er Jayakumar, Chief Mentor of BTF (Former National Secretary of Vijnana Bharati (विज्ञान भारती)), who picked it up. Bharat Tech Foundation was subsequently founded as a result. Padmasree Sridhar Vembu, Founder and CEO of Zoho Corp is the first President General and A Narayan is the first Director General. Dr. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Former Chair-AICTE and Dr. T.G. Sitharam, Chair- AICTE are Honorary Members.
Dr. Aman Puri, the Indian Consul General in Dubai, UAE, performed the official inauguration of the BTF UAE Chapter on May 21, 2023.[2][3]
The primary objective of Bharat Tech Foundations is to establish a global forum for Indian engineers to exchange knowledge and disseminate technology for the benefit of Indian society.
For India's overall growth, the organization wants to serve as a catalyst for developing hospitable innovation environments in technology.
