Bentleigh Uniting Cricket Club's Victory in the Cricket Victoria Statewide Twenty20 Cup

edit

The Bentleigh Uniting Cricket Club, part of the South East Cricket Association, triumphed in the Cricket Victoria Statewide Twenty20 Cup, securing their victory on a memorable Sunday at Eastern Oval. In a decisive final, Bentleigh Uniting overcame Wendouree, restricting the Ballarat club to 7-123 and chasing down the target in under 15 overs, losing only three wickets in the process.

Bentleigh Uniting’s journey to the state title included victories over Bentleigh, Cranbourne (in a bowl-off), Ashburton Willows, and Altona North. Despite the challenge of playing away games in the turf competition, as they are based at Centenary Park in East Bentleigh with a synthetic wicket, the team consistently delivered strong performances [3]
