The Bengali revolution was an event that led to the Bengali Prime minister Sheikh Hasina being overthrown. The revolution started with the 2024 Bangladesh quota reform movement and ended with the Non-cooperation movement (2024) which led to the overthrow of Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The revolution first had the goal of removing the quota system that was reinstated in 2018 by the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.

Beginning of the Revolution

On July 6 the quota reform movement began. There had been previous protests to reform the quota system, that had succeeded. But after the Supreme Court of Bangladesh reinstated the quotas in 2018, the protests restarted.

The protests initially started out small,with the demand to remove or at least reduce the

On August 5 the Protests ended with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigning from office and fleeing the country.

Aftermath

The bengali revolution had outstanding impact in Bangladesh,A new interim government under Muhammad Yunus
