Bayley Roy Hall (born 28 July 2003), is an Australian motor racing driver. He currently competes in the Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia Championship[1], driving the #28 for McElrea Racing[2] & the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia Championship[3], driving the #7 for BeDriver[4].

Bayley has competed in the Porsche Carrera Cup[1] for two seasons with his best finish at the Gold Coast 500 Supercars Event winning two races and securing the 7th different Porsche round winner[5] in the 2023 season. In the 2023 season Bayley finished 6th in the Championship and the 3rd Michelin Junior. In 2023, Bayley also competed in 2 Rounds of the Porsche Deluxe Carrera Cup North America Championship[6] competing at Laguna Seca Raceway and Circuit of the Americas, racing the #24 for McElrea Racing[2].

Go Karting Journey

Bayley began his go karting journey at the age of 6, as soon as he could apply for a license. He competed locally in South East Queensland as a hobby with his father until he was 11 years old.

2017 - First Car Race

At the age of 13, Bayley purchased a Hyundai Excel to compete in the Queensland-based X3 Excel Cup championship and competed in races at Morgan Park Raceway, Lakeside International Raceway and Queensland Raceway.

2018

In 2018, Bayley stepped up into a ex-street registered Holden VE Commodore to compete in the Queensland Touring Car Championship and quickly impressed his competitors with his commitment, preparation and speed. He won 7 races[7] across this season in the A2 Class.

2019

2019 was the first year Bayley travelled interstate to compete, when he got the opportunity to participate in Round 4 of the GT-1 Australia Championship in a MARC I V8 Ford Focus at Sydney Motorsport Park. Bayley was again impressive finishing 2nd for the Round in his debut weekend[8]. Bayley held onto a podium streak after finishing 2nd & 3rd for the Rounds at the next two GT-1 Australia Rounds at Wakefield Park and Winton Motor Raceway.

2020 - Youngest Bathurst 12 Hour Podium Sitter

From his success in 2019, an opportunity arose in the January of 2020 to compete in the Bathurst 12 Hour GT racing event with co-drivers Geoff Taunton, Brad Schumacher, and 6-time Bathurst 1000 podium sitter, Warren Luff. This event was Bayley's first endurance event and debut experience of driving around the Mount Panorama Circuit. The team effort placed them 2nd in the Invitational class making Bayley the youngest ever podium place[9] at Mount Panorama at the age of 16.

During the year of 2020 and COVID-19 slowing the Australian sporting world, Bayley had one-off events in Townsville, Reid Park Street Circuit and The Bend Motorsport Park called, 'TinTops', where he dominated his class. This opened an opportunity for Bayley to complete a test and evaluation day with McElrea Racing, a highly successful Porsche team based on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.

2021 - Debut Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge Australia Season

In 2021, Bayley announced[10] that his evaluation day went very well and signed a deal with McElrea Racing to compete in the 2021 Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge Championship[11] as Bayley's first step to achieve a career along the Porsche Pyramid with his sights set on an International GT3 racing career. In Bayley's debut weekend he qualified and finished 2nd at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. The championship however only competed 2 rounds due to the series coming to a halt after another COVID-19 outbreak.

2022 - Debut Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia Season

In 2022, Bayley and McElrea Racing announced that Bayley would be stepping up[12] to the Porsche Carrera Cup Championship with the arrival of the new Porsche 992 GT3 Cup Car.[13] Bayley's debut year was listed as a learning year competing against arguably the most competitive Porsche Carrera Cup Australia season ever with over 20 Pro's and considerable experience in Supercars Co-drivers. Bayley was employed by Supercars to help them in the process of creating an aerodynamic parody between the new Gen3 Mustang and Camaro Supercar, this included a number of days testing on race tracks and airport runways with Triple Eight Race Engineering.

2023 - Triumphant Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia Season

2023 was Bayley's most triumphant year in motorsport racing against another set of experienced and successful Pro drivers. He finished this season 6th in the Championship with outstanding events at the Sandown 500 achieving his first Podium race and round finish, additionally winning [5] 2 of 3 races at the Gold Coast 500[14] to take his first race and round win at his home race weekend. Additionally, on Bayley's first time racing at the Adelaide Street Circuit, he set and still holds a new race lap record. These successes enabled an opportunity to compete in two rounds of the North American Porsche Carrera Cup series where he qualified and finished in the top ten at Laguna Seca.

2024

Bayley confirmed in 2024 that he would compete in the Australian Porsche Carrera Cup series again with McElrea Racing and has already achieved a podium finish and consistent 7 top-ten finishes in the first 3 rounds of the series currently standing 6th in the Championship. Bayley also gained an opportunity to race in the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia Championship for BeDriver and completed the first two rounds with success as a foreigner finishing 10th at the Imola Circuit.
