The Battle or raid on Bostra was one of the many raids of Raynald of Châtillon. It took place in Bostra, and its goal was the plunder of the city of Bostra. The Crusader raiding party was assembled and began their march in Kerak. It took them 9 days to reach a place near Bostra where they encamped. In the night two Muslim men who were on guard duty reportedly found the Christian camp and snuck up to them and killed a few Crusaders while they were sleeping. Then they went away from the camp without anyone noticing and started firing arrows and screaming. Because it was night time the Crusaders couldn't see how many enemies were there and they assumed it was a bigger force attacking them and they retreated back to Kerak. The arrow fire also inflicted some casualties while the Crusaders were retreating.
