Barletta New Lighthouse (Italian: Faro nuovo di Barletta) is an active lighthouse located in the harbour of Barletta, in Apulia on the Adriatic Sea.

Description

edit

The lighthouse was built in 1956 to replace the old Barletta Lighthouse [1]and inaugurated in 1958[2]. Then modified later due to the installation of the cableway, which had the task of transporting the salt from Margherita di Savoia to Barletta. 33 meters high, it's located at the end of the port of Barletta and it is visivile from Barletta Castle. It's equipped with a very powerful octagonal headlight and currently managed by the Taranto lighthouses command[3]
