The village is most famous for being the birthplace of Baba Raghuni Maharaj, and a temple dedicated to him, where devotees gather to honor his memory and seek blessings.
In honor of his contribution to the region, the local railway station, Baba Raghuni Halt Dwarika (station code BRHD),located approximately 16 kilometers south of Saharsa, was named after him. The station is part of the Saharsa-Mansi line, providing a connection to the surrounding areas and further solidifying his legacy in the local history.[2]
