Bad As (formerly BADASS) are an Italian Heavy Metal band formed in Montebelluna, Italy in 2016 with the original lineup, Alberto Rigoni on bass, Titta Tani (of Claudio Simonetti's Goblin fame) on Vocals, Alessio “Lex” Tricarico on Guitar and Denis “Denzy” Novello on Drums. The band launched their debut album via a Kickstarter campaign during 2016 and the debut LP More Pain, More Gain was released in April 2017.[3] The album gained some widespread attention & media acclaim and they toured throughout the year in support of the album. [4][5]
History
editThe debut album by Bad As (then named BADASS) was called More Pain, More Gain. Released on April 15 2017 via Lion Records and Cargo Music UK. They toured Italy and Europe throughout 2017 - 2018. During 2018 the band decided to change their name. At first they decided to call themselves Ardityon [6] for a short time, until settling the new & official name Bad As. They also reformed the group to a new line up, with Mattia Martin on lead vocals, and Marino De Bortoli on drums. They recorded and released a new album, Midnight Curse in 2018. The 2nd album featured a more progressive sound than the first. It was this release that they used their new name Bad As that they continue to use to this day. [7] After a brief hiatus the band decided to call it quits in 2019 and were also put off touring due to the coronavirus pandemic. However a surprise announcement from the group in 2020 stated that they were back and had almost finished their 3rd album Crucified Society which was released in March 17 2020.[8] They are currently working on their 4th album with a newly rebooted lineup, featuring John Jeff Touch on Vocals, and Marco Andreetto on Drums. The new album is expected to be released sometime in 2023.
