BAS World also known as Brabant Automobile Service is a Dutch global trade platform of new and used trucks, tractor units, trailers, machinery, vans and agricultural machinery. BAS World provides a platform where sellers can showcase their vehicles and equipment to an international audience of potential buyers. Simultaneously, it enables buyers to explore and compare a wide range of commercial vehicles and equipment from around the world, granting them access to an extensive selection of options[1]. Its headquarters is located in Veghel, The Netherlands.

The company employs more than 1000 people[2] and with more than 3,000 vehicles and machines in stock, BAS World are the Europe's largest stock[3]. The company's platform has a reach to over 180+ countries. Employing approximately 80 IT specialists dedicated solely to its platform services (BAS World), it has established a worldwide online platform[4].

History

BAS World was established in 2021 and has become the substantial subsidiary of BAS Group. Since 1962 the main owner of BAS was Martin van Heertum, the sons Casper and Bas van Heertum were working for for the company from 1992. However, when the disaster struck in 2000 and their father died of an intracerebral hemorrhage, the brothers decided to continue the business and took over the company[5]. Originally founded 60 years ago as Brabant Automobile Service, the company has evolved significantly through comprehensive digitalization[4].
