Audio Aggregator 25747 is a Radio over IP system.

The aggregator functions on port 25747 of the Internet and links Computers that are connected to Radios. The audio that the aggregator extends is open (unencrypted) audio with specification stereo 16-bit little-endian at 16k Hz (S16_LE).

Initially the aggregator used Ethernet and Wi-Fi to relay communications with Family Radio Service (FRS) and General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) in the United States.

After the aggregator was integrated with PMR446 in the European Union the aggregator was categorized as an unlicensed Amateur radio system in the United States and the decision was made to disconnect the aggregator from licensed radio systems entirely, including disconnecting from GMRS.

Currently the aggregator connects FRS/PMR and is licensed by rule in the United States and the European Union which means no license is required.

Researchers in Canada are researching a path to include the aggregator in various radio systems that are licensed by rule.

The aggregator may be monitored on port 25747 of the internet using Advanced Linux Sound Architecture on Linux or SoX which is cross-platform on Linux and MacOS and Microsoft Windows.
