Assayed Fadl (Arabic: السيد فضل, July 5, 1948- July 28, 2022) was an Egyptian professor, critic and scholar from Banha, Egypt with a background in literary criticism, who taught at Benha University.

Biography

Born in 1948 in Banha, the capital of the Qalyubiyya Governorate in northeastern Egypt. He obtained his BA degree from Dar al-Ulum in 1971, where he earned his MA in 1977 and Ph.D in 1982.[1] He taught in several institutions inside and outside Egypt. He married Salwa Khalifa and had five daughters, Lamees (who went to live in the US and who teaches Arabic language and Literature at The City University of New York), Nouran, Weaam, Nehal and Nahla. He passed away in Cairo, Egypt in 2022.
