Ms. Anurradha Prasad is an Indian journalist and media entrepreneur. She is the Editor-in-Chief of News24 and Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of BAG Network.
Early life
She was born on December 8 to Thakur Prasad (Senior advocate of Patna High Court and Politician) and Bimla Prasad in Patna. She pursued her MA in Political Science and M.Phil. in International Studies from the University of Delhi (DU).
Career
Anurradha started her career with an assignment 'Money Matters', a popular magazine in the year ... Thereupon she worked at the Press Trust of India (PTI) in 1985. It was where she met Rajeev Shukla (now her spouse), a journalist working at Sunday Magazine.
She stepped into entrepreneurship in 1993 with her production house BAG Films & Media Ltd (formerly BAG Films Ltd) in New Delhi with an investment of Rs. 40,000.
Shows like Kumkum, KhulJa Sim-Sim, Poll Khol, and Har Dil Jo Love Karega marked the rule of her production house on television. Her interview-based show Aamne Saamne at News24 reflected her ideology of journalism.
