Alyssa and Wayne Brewer are an American husband and wife musical duo, who have performed together for the better part of a decade since they met in 2014 and married in 2015. They currently perform under the title, A&W Brewer, promoting their newly released music.[1] Their debut album "A&W sing George & Tammy a tribute to George Jones & Tammy Wynette" (via SGM Records - Sony / The Orchard)[2] has gained them media attention with the releases of first and second singles "Golden Ring" and "We're Gonna Hold On". Saving Country Music listed "A&W sing George & Tammy" as one of the 'Most Anticipated Albums for 2nd Half of 2023'.[3] Melissa Clarke is quoted saying "The vocals and harmonizing are shiny and just wonderful. Plus, the outfits in the video show high praise themselves and pay perfect homage to the country pillars George and Tammy." from the Americana Highways music video premiere for lead single "Golden Ring".[4] Also featured on COWGIRL Magazine's "Music on Mondays" alongside Shania Twain, Ashley Cooke, and others.[5] Since its release, the music video for "We're Gonna Hold On" has received over 1 million views on YouTube.[citation needed]

Biography edit

Wayne Brewer is a sixth generation musician with a well-established background in music being a longtime member of American-Roots group Gary Brewer and the Kentucky Ramblers. He is the full-time bass player, manages the group, and is CEO of Brewgrass Entertainment. He started his music career at the young age of 18 months old performing on the Grand Ole Opry stage with his father and grandfather.[2] Alyssa Brewer joined the family business when they began dating. She now acts as COO of Brewgrass Entertainment and works in web design and publicity as well.[citation needed] Seven years after their wedding, Alyssa and Wayne added a third member to their little family. Her name is Alayna Finlee (a combination of Alyssa and Wayne for her first name and after Wayne's grandpa Finley J. for her middle name) and she was born in late 2022.[6] Alayna can be seen in the duo's "We're Gonna Hold On" music video at eight months old holding and strumming the same mini guitar Wayne Brewer started his career with.[7]
