Background edit

Composition sessions for the album began during the COVID-19 lockdowns of 2020. While iLe was writing "Algo Bonito", her brother suggested that she collaborate with Ivy Queen. Following the suggestion, she determined that Queen would be a "great" addition to the track, enlisting her participation. Queen loved the direction of the song and thus recorded verses.[1]

Speaking of the collaboration, iLe called Queen's participation as a "reminder that thanks to voices like hers, the fight as women is stronger than ever."[2] Queen expressed excitement about the collaboration, praising iLe’s previous musical outputs.[2]

Musical composition edit

The song begins with a thudding dembow rhythm which was created by iLe herself using audio creation software.[3]

Music video edit

iLe and Queen met for the first time in early 2023 during recording of the song's music video.[1] The music video was directed by Claudia Calderón and included a woman-led set. It's music video features "symbolism from Old Westerns and samurai films.[1]
