Aisha Sulaiman Achimugu OFR is the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Felak Concept Group. She is also the Chairman, Bluewave Exploration and Production Limited.[1][2][3]

Early life and education edit

Born on January 22, 1974, in Kuje, Abuja, Nigeria, to Capt. J.E. A and Mrs. Adole (Rtd.), who served in the Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Air Force respectively[4][5]. She completed her secondary education at the Federal Government Girls Science School, Kuje, Abuja, before earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Jos, Plateau State, in 1998. In 2020, she received an Honorary Doctorate Degree from the Commonwealth University.

Philantrophy edit

In 2024, she distributed relief materials to 500 people in Kogi, state, Nigeria during the Ramadan period through her non governmental organization, Sam Empowerment Foundation.[6][7][8][9][10] She also donated food relief items to 5000 residents of Abuja in the same year through the same foundation[11].

Controversy edit

In January 2024, she became an internet sensation by celebrating her 50th birthday in Granada for seven days and spending over $1m with the attendance of high networth guests including the Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwoolu.[12][13]. Opposition Politicians like Funso Doherty criticized the Governor for attending the event.[14] After the event, the internal revenue service of the state asked her to file her tax returns.[15][16][17] In the same year, she also declared herself as a feminist which elicited several comments from the media.[18]

She won the Pan African Humanitarian Awards for enterprise and service to humanity.[20]

2023

Aisha emerged as the Champions Newspapers 2023 Philantrophist of the year.[21] She was also recognized for the African Iconic Women Recognition Awards alongside others such as Linda Ikeji, Sadiya Farouq and Gbemisola Saraki.[22] [23] She was awarded the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR), a National honour in Nigeria by President Muhammadu Buhari [24][25][26][27]

2024

Aisha was inducted into the Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics (CIPRMP) as a fellow of the organization.[28][29]

She is married to Suleiman Achimagu who was the first COVID19 death recorded in Nigeria[30]
