Submission declined on 22 April 2024 by Tutwakhamoe (talk). This submission does not appear to be written in the formal tone expected of an encyclopedia article. Entries should be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources. Please rewrite your submission in a more encyclopedic format. Please make sure to avoid peacock terms that promote the subject. This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

- Comment: Just one entry in a biographical dictionary is not enough to demonstrate notability, more contents and more citations would be needed. Also, the style of writing in the current draft is not suitable for an encyclopedic article, phrases like "get women more involved" and "useful stuff on different topics" are too informal and vague to be useful for readers. Please describe substantial achievements made by the subject instead of what they believed and worked towards. Tutwakhamoe (talk) 13:05, 22 April 2024 (UTC)

Agnes Lennox (fl.1839-1841) chaired the Gorbals Female Universal Suffrage Association in Glasgow, founded in 1839. This group was part of the Chartist movement and worked to get women more involved. They didn't just talk about voting rights; they also taught each other useful stuff on different topics. While most of these women saw themselves as connected to the Chartist men (like being their wives or daughters), Lennox believed women should have their own voice in politics.[1]
