Acharya Kompella Rama Suryanarayana (Sanskrit कोंपेल्ला राम सूर्यनारायणा, born on January 15, 1947)is a Sanskrit scholar, Guru, Pundit, Acharya and a prolific writer in both Sanskrit and Telugu languages.
Kompella Rama Suryanarayana has taught several thousands of students in his teaching career, spanning more than 40 years, and motivated them to pursue studies in eternal language. With his vast knowledge in higher level Sanskrit texts like Vedas, Itihasas, Upanishads, Kavyaprakasha, Dhvanyaloka, Dhvanyaloka lochana, Rasagangadhara, Chitra Mimamsa, Siddhanta Kaumudi, Nyaya shastra, Alankara shastra, Sahityam and Vyakaranam, he is considered one of the most learned Sanskrit Scholars among the contemporary scholars.
He received Indian President’s Award, for his tireless services to Devabhasha Sanskrit in 2009.

Early life and Education
Acharya Kompella Rama Suryanarayana, born on January 15, 1947, months before India got Independence, in Modekurru, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh, hails from a traditional Telugu Brahmin family. His father, Brahmashri Kompella Kameswara Avadhanulu, was a Vedic scholar and Sanskrit teacher in Sri Challapalli Rajarajeswari Sanskrit Collage, Modekurru, while his mother, Smt Anantha Lakshmi, was a homemaker.
He completed his primary education in Modekurru and Narendrapuram, and his higher secondary schooling in Kottagudem in 1964. He earned his Sahitya Vidyapraveena in Sanskrit (Alankara Sastra) from Sri Challapalli Rajarajeswari Sanskrit College, Modekurru, in 1969, followed by Bhashapraveena in Telugu, BA in Special English, Politics, and History, and MA degrees in Telugu and Sanskrit from Andhra University. He also studied various traditional Sanskrit scriptures under several esteemed gurus. In 1991, he completed his Ph.D. in Sanskrit with a “Critical study of Khandadevas-Bhatta Rahasya” under the guidance of Shri D. Shiva Prasad.
Career
Acharya Kompella began his career in 1970 as a lecturer at SPSSR Oriental College, Podagatlapalli, where he worked for two decades. He later served at SKVT Degree College and Orient College in Rajahmundry, and SVJV Sanskrit College in Kovvur until 2001. He then joined Rashtreeya Samskrita Vidyapeeth, Tirupati, as a Lecturer in Samskruthi and Sahitya and later served as a Dean, retiring in 2012. Acharya Kompella has guided more than 20 students for their successful completion of Ph.D and M.Phil degrees.
Personal Life
In his personal life, Acharya Kompella has two elder brothers, two younger brothers, and three elder sisters. He is married to Smt Suryamba, and they have two sons and two daughters.

4.Delivered a lecture and participated in Dharmasandehalu with Indian diaspora during annual Srinivasa Kalyanam event in Dubai, 10/01/2014

These commentaries were broadcast live on regional radio. Hosted daily episodes of Sabha Parvam on SVBC TV Channel.
