AIPAI - Italian Association for Archaeological Industrial Heritage

edit

AIPAI is the Italian Association for Industrial Archaeological Heritage, a nonprofit organization. It is the national association recognized by TICCIH The International Committee for the Conservation of Industrial Heritage. It was founded in 1997 by the union of the regional industrial heritage associations that were operating in Italy. Its direct predecessor can be considered the SIAI - Italian Society for Industrial Archaeology, founded in Milan in 1977 and chaired by Eugenio Battisti.[1].

AIPAI is an association that brings together scientific contributions from different founding disciplines of industrial archaeology in Italy. It publishes a journal "Patrimonio Industriale" and organizes, every three years, the General States of the Industrial Heritage. The association collaborates in the activities of the international network and its research and initiatives[2]
