A.M. Iktear Uddin, known as Anik Advocate, (born 31 December 1984) is an Indian lawyer[1][2]

Early life and education

Anik Advocate graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Bangalore University in 2008 and furthered his education by pursuing Business Law and Corporate Law (LLM) in 2010 and is a lifelong alumnus of University Law College ULC.[3][4] After graduating, he joined the Karnataka Bar Council and since then, he has been representing clients in various capacities before courts, law enforcement agencies and other organisations.[5][6][7]

Anik served as the Head of Law Enforcement and Compliance at Ola, overseeing the company's legal matters.[8][9]

Career

Anik has handled the legal case of the high-profile JP Nagar double murder case as Special Public Prosecutor on behalf of the State Government and also defended the accused in the sensational murder case shown in Netflix's Crime Stories: India Detectives - "A Murdered Mother".[10][11][12] Anik is considered as a leading lawyer for cyber crime and has been appreciated by many police/law enforcement agencies in India and abroad.[13][14]
