Tyler became known within the underground community for his insane work ethic, dropping over 55 projects and over 1,500 songs since starting music in early 2018. He is apart of the lifestyle brand known as Synergy, as well as the founder & owner of the underground hip-hop collective 2Advanced.

Early Life edit

Since 279tyler has never done an interview or spoke on his early life, not much is known about it. Tyler went to school with DripGod Loo & Ethan2K who were influenced by Tyler to rap and would be some of his very first collaborators, as well as DJ Ant who is still a big part of Tyler's career to this day.

Career edit

279tyler has dropped tons of music throughout his career, most of which being deleted and lost to time or reuploaded by fans on Soundcloud & YouTube. Tyler is also known to release songs on other peoples Soundcloud accounts and even creating his own Soundcloud accounts to release music.

2017–2022: Career beginnings edit

During 2017, Tyler had no Soundcloud account and was only dropping music through other people Soundcloud accounts, as well as featuring on songs from some of his earliest collaborators. In 2018, Tyler dropped 7 mixtapes during this year, including UP NEXT, UP NOW, LIL TYLER, TWOSEVENNINE, TWOSEVENNINE 2, TWOEVENNINE & TWO ZERO ONE NINE. These projects contain music heavily influenced by the BeatPluggz, showcasing some of Tyler's earliest rapping abilities and containing very low quality mixes. 2018 would be the start of Tyler's first undergruond hip-hop collective IDB (abbreviated as IDB) which was a collection of early collaborators of Tyler and his friends from school. Throughout 2019, Tyler continued to drop a large amount of music including the mixtapes [#RIPFredo] and [DEMONBOY] which set a blueprint for the rest of his career. [#RIPFredo] contained a more polished version of his earlier BeatPluggz inspired style, as well as introducing a new style that would eventually take over in the next project [DEMONBOY]. Tyler would drop Halo a song produced by Danny Draco on December 2nd, 2019, which would become his biggest song and first song to hit over 200 likes, temporarily until 2020. Through the COVID-19 lockdown, Tyler would continue to drop a large amount of music on a constant basis. Dropping hundreds of singles and 7 projects total in 2020, Tyler would drop 3 major mixtapes that would show his evolution from the year before as well as almost entirely fading out his old BeatPluggz inspired sound. The first of the big projects was [NEW YEAR SAME ME], coming in at 20 songs, Tyler evolves on the darker, more ambient sound he created the year previous with [DEMONBOY]. [NEW YEAR SAME ME]. Two months later [NOTHING LIKE THE REST] would release containing features from longtime collaborators Dae, Doxia & Nautika May, as well as production from Arena who Tyler started working with a year previous. [#BACKFROMHELL] would be the last big project to release this year containing some of 279tyler's first attempts at making beats with songs like Green Day, Could Never & Steroids. Aside from the mixtapes, Tyler would drop Fr (RIP Fredo 2) produced by Dawn on January 6th, 2020, which would surpass his previously biggest song Halo as well as Green Dot 2 which became a blueprint for a style of Tyler that he would run with till this day. 2020 would also be the year where Tyler's first underground rap collective, IDB, would be disbanded, as well as another collective Digital World Club, started by Doxia & Tyler that would start and disband within the same year. Early this year Tyler would create the underground hip-hop & rap collective, 2Advanced (abbreviated as 2A), with frequent collaborators of his including Cashaloe, Dici, Glawkie, Quiswtf, Jayrachi, Dae, Cauz & DJ Ant. He would also delete a lot of his older work from his main Soundcloud page from the years previous, including deleting almost every mixtape he made previously, and only releasing one mixtape and one EP on his main Soundcloud account alongside a surplus of singles. [#DEDICATION] was the first of the mixtapes, having 12 songs and having production from longtime collaborators 2sided, GeeohhS & GreenBeans. Me, Myself & I was an entirely self produced mixtape, with all of the beats, recording and audio engineering being done by Tyler himself. This project showcases his improvement with production as well as his ability to create unique flows. Me, Myself & I would outdo every other project released by Tyler and would be the start of him no longer releasing mixtapes on his main Soundcloud page, instead choosing to release singles.

2022-2024: Establised Years edit

Plenty released on December 25, 2021, would become Tyler's biggest song during the beginning of 2022. Containing production from GreenBeans, as well as a catchy hook, the song would be Tyler's first song to hit over 40K plays. Aliens released on February 11th, 2022 is another song that would excel Tyler's career to another level, becoming his second biggest song of his career and showcasing a new aggressive rapping style that would be present throughout the rest of 2022. During this year Tyler would drop a single at least once a week on his Soundcloud account. No mixtapes or EP's were released on Tyler's main Soundcloud through the year of 2023, instead ditching his old style of releasing big mixtapes in favor for dropping singles a few times every month. 2023 was an extraordinary year for Tyler's career, seeing way more plays and likes on his music as well as seeing less music dropping as a whole. August 5th, 2023, Tyler would drop Output produced by Lj, bringing back a dark, ambient style that he previously introduced from 2019. Output would become his second biggest song to date, surpassing both Plenty & Aliens very quickly. November 7th, 2023, Highrise would drop and quickly overtake the position for Tyler's biggest song yet with over 60,0000 plays on Soundcloud and 10,000 plays on Spotify. Highrise would also reintroduce the 2019 style that Tyler previously showcased in old mixtapes like [NEW YEAR SAME ME] but with a way more polished sound, including better mixing & mastering. This would also be the year that Tyler hit 1000 followers on Soundcloud, after more than five years of dropping music, this would also be the year that Tyler deleted almost every song from his Soundcloud, leaving only six songs left out of the five hundred or so songs originally uploaded on his Soundcloud. The end of 2023, Tyler would become a big part of the lifestyle brand Synergy, bringing along many 2A members to the brand. The best of all the years so far, Tyler would see the most plays out of any year so far. While dropping less music on his Soundcloud account, he still released frequently on other Soundcloud accounts such as DJ Ant, and his producers Wustin, Siren, nhoJ & AilJoy's accounts. This year would expand on the styles he showcased the year previous with songs like Output & Highrise with his song Ride that released on April 5th, 2024. As well as the song Call of Duty, which released on January 29th, 2024, is very reminiscent of his 2019 sound he started with songs like Green Dot 2 and his earlier work with producer Arena. This would be the biggest year for Tyler's collective 2Advanced, where the song released on 2A's Sergio Kitchens would become the biggest song on the collectives page to date. This would come with a big growth for all members of the collective as well.
