On January 27, 2024, a group of people attacked police officers after the group was told to move into the sidewalk. Officers later pushed a person in the group, who matched the description of a person who attempted to steal from a store, and for kicking a loss prevention officer who attempted to stop them. As the officer is restraining the person, the group attacked the police officers and fled.[1] They were later arrested by police on January 31 and were indicted.[2][3]
