Municipal and mayoral elections were held in Austrian state of Salzburg on 10 March 2024.
Background
editPrevious municipal and mayoral elections in Salzburg were held in 2019, with a total of 439,785 people being eligible to vote. ÖVP held majority in all districts, followed by SPÖ.

Mayoral election
editIn the Salzburg mayoral election, Bernhard Auinger (SPÖ) 29.4% and Kay-Michael Dankl (KPÖ) with 28.0% qualified for the runoff election.[2] The second round was held on March 24th, in which Auinger won with 62.5%.[3]
