Sayyid Muhammad Shah Bukhari "Sabz-Posh" (Persian: سید محمد شاہ بخاری سبز پوش سرکار رح, c. 512-611 AH, 1119 – 1214 CE was a saint of the Bukhara,Uzbekistan. Who was the 1st Person and the first Descendent of Imam Ali Naqi, Naqvi Hussaini Sayyid moved to Indian subcontinent. He belonged to the Naqvi Hussaini Sufi order through his forefathers, Sayyid Mehmood Bin Sayyid Ahmad Bin Sayyid Abdullah Bin Sayyid Ali Asghar Bin Sayyid Jaffar Saàni Bin Imam Ali Naqi the 10th Imam and Direct Descendent Of Imam Hussain and Imam Ali A.S.

Names:

Al-Naqvi Al-Bukhari, a family name, is derived from the location of his descent from the city of Bukhara in the ancient administrative region of Bukhara Province Uzbekistan.[2] Bukhari is a Sayyid from the Naqvi denomination, a descendant of the Islamic prophet Muhammad through his grandsons Hussain ibn Ali and Hassan ibn Ali. Muhammad Shah Bukhari was born as Syed Muhammad Hussain. Sayyid Muhammad Shah Bukhari was born in Bukhara, but later settled in Mansoora, then at Kanooj { Undivided India } Now a days Multan, Pakistan and then Jhang- Punjab His Shrine is also at Jhang-Punjab.[3] His Father name is Syed Maehmood, Sayyid Muhammad Shah is the 1st person who moved in Indo-Pak and settled in Multan (That time called Mansoora) and burried at Jhang-Punjab { Undivided India }. Syed Muhammad Shah has two sons Syed Jaffar Muhammad and Syed Ameer Muhammad. The name of Sajada Nasheen and Descendet is مخدوم آعظم، مخدوم المعظم، مخدوم الملک، مرشد سائیں سرکار Sardarzada Tajammal Abbas Shah-Ameer دامتُ برکاتہم (the direct descendet of Syed Muhammad Shah Bukhari through his son Syed Ameer Muhammad Shah. Jalal ul din Bukhari was nicknamed Surkh-Posh ("clad in red") because he often wore a red mantle. Sayyid Muhammad Shah Bukhari R.A was born on 512-A.H 1119-AD, and alive till 611-A.H 1214-AD.

Career Sayyid Muhammad Shah Bukhari was the follower of his forfathers Imam Ali Naqi, Imam Ali And Hazrat Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم۔. Syed Muhammad Shah Bukhari 's life was spent travelling. As an Islamic missionary, he converted tribes such as the Soomro, Samma, Chadhar, Sial, Daher and the Warar. He was one of the Chaar Yaar (not to be confused with the Rashidun). The Chaar Yaar were the group of pioneers and Syed Muhammad Shah Bukhari was the Founder of the Silsila e Muhammadia, سلسلہء محمدیہ، movement of the 12th century. Bukhari founded the "محمدیہ" order. He converted the Samma, the Sial, the Chadhar, the Daher and the Warar tribes of the Southern Punjab and Sindh.[4]

Some of his followers (mureed) spread to Gujarat. The mureed included Descendent Sayyid Jalaluddin Bukhari's grandson, Jahaniyan Jahangasht (d. 1384 CE) who visited Mecca 36 times. In 1134 CE, the Sial followers of Bukhari settled in the community that is now Jhang. Bukhari's descendant, Mehboob Elahi Shah|Mehboob Elahi Naqvi-ul Bukhari Al-Maroof Shah Jewna also moved to Jhang from Kannauj. There is a town in Pakistan in the name of Shah Jewna his descendants are still present in India as well as Pakistan. Many of Bukhari's disciples are buried in Banbhore and Makli Hill near Thatta.[5][6][7][8][9]

Legendary meetings edit Sultan of Delhi edit In 534 AH, Syed Muhammad Shah Bukhari moved to Multan Undivided India and start his missionary work there, and later on moved in Jhang that was also the part of Multan known as Mansoora that time in Undivided India and also burried at Jhang in 611 AH. His Son Syed Ameer Muhammad also help out in his missionary work. Syed Ali Al-Moeed the Grandson of Syed Muhammad and father of Jalal Ul Din also help out his Grandfather Syed Muhammad Shah Bukhari. In the continuity in 642 AH, when Jalaluddin Surkh-Posh Bukhari had begun his missionary work in Uch Shareef, he was visited by Nasiruddin Mahmud of the Delhi Sultanate.[citation needed]

Shah Daulah Shahid edit Shah Daulah Shahid, is a Muslim saint who is buried in Bengal. In Bukhara, Bukhari presented Saint Daulah with a pair of grey pigeons. From Bukhara, Saint Daulah travelled to Bengal where he battled and was killed by the Hindu king of Shahzadpur.[10]

Muhaiyy Ud Din Ibn Ul Arbi { ابن العربی محی الدین} Artughal Ghazi { ارتُغل غازی } edit According to legend: Artughal Ghazi and Mohaiyy Ud Din Abn Ul Arbi were also the followers of Syed Muhammad Shah Bukhari and came at Mansoora Undivided India Multan, Pakistan to meet Syed Muhammad Shah Bukhari .[1]

One of His followers name is Hafiz Abdul Karim Hashmi who is also burried at Jhang in same Shrine wrote the 12 Books 📚 , One of the famous books is پکی روٹی، اور نور نامہ that's were included in the Sallaybous of Mughal,s Empire.

Death edit In 1179 CE (about 570-AH), Sayyid Muhammad Shah Bukhari moved to Mansoora { Undivided India }, South Punjab (also known as Multan after the saint settled there) with his sons, Sayyid Ameer Muhammad and Sayyid Jaffar Muhammad, where he founded a religious school. He died in about 611-AH (1214 CE) and was buried in Jhang-Punjab, that time was the part of Mansoora Undivided India { Multan-Pakistan }.[citation needed] After his tomb was damaged by flood waters of the Chanab River, Hafiz Abdul Karim Hashmi rebuild it and were also buried there [citation needed]

The tomb is at Yousaf Shah Road the main city of Jhang, Jhang Saddar. It stands in the main city and the graveyard beyond. To one side of the tomb is a mosque. In front of the tomb is a open area for Urs.




The brick-built tomb measures 18 meters by 24 meters and its carved wooden pillars support a flat roof and it is decorated with glazed tiles in floral and geometric designs. The ceiling is painted with floral designs in lacquer and its floor is covered with the graves of the saint and his relatives an interior partition provides 'purdah' for those of his womenfolk. Its mosque consists of a hall, measuring 20 meters by 11 meters, with 18 wooden pillars supporting a flat roof. It was built of cut and dressed bricks and further decorated, internally and externally, with enamelled tiles in floral and geometric designs.[11]

Mela Uch Sharif edit According to World Monuments Fund, "The ancient city of Uch was one of several metropolises founded by Alexander the Great on his crusade through Central Asia in the late 4th century BC."[12]

The Mela Uch Sharif is a week-long mela (folk festival) held in March – April in Uch. People from southern Punjab come to honour Bukhari's role in spreading Islam. Participants visit Bukhari's tomb and offer Friday prayers at the local mosque which was built by the Abbasids. The mela commemorates the congregation of Sufi saints connected with Bukhari. It aligns with the Hindu calendar month of Chaitra.

Bukhara's old town in 2012, Uzbekistan Jalal ul din Bukhari was born on Friday, the fifth day of the twelfth month (Dhu al-Hijjah) of the year 595 AH, in Bhakkar Undivided India, in present-day Pakistan, grew up at Multan and later on moved to Uch and also burried in Uch. Jalal ul din Bukhari was the son of Syed Ali Al-Moeed, the grandson of Syed Ja’far Muhammed Hussain. Syed Ja'far Muhammad Hussain was the son of Syed Muhammad Hussain Shah known as Syed Muhammad Shah Bukhari Sabz Posh R.a. Syed Muhammad Shah Bukhari has two sons Syed Ja'far Muhamad Hussain and Syed Ameer Muhammad Hussain. Syed Ameer Muhamad Hussain burried at Sindh and the Tomb of Syed Muhammad Shah Bukhari Sabz Posh is at Jhang Punjab undivided India Now a days Punjab Pakistan. The name of Sajada Nasheen of his Khanqah Darbar is مخدوم آعظم، مخدوم المعظم، مخدوم الملک، مُرشد سائیں سرکار Sardarzada Tajammal Abbas Shah-Ameer النقوی البُخاری دامتُ برکاتہم is the direct descendet of Syed Muhammad Shah Bukhari R.A through his son Syed Ameer Muhammad Hussain [13] Sayyid Muhammad Shah Bukhari's early education was provided by his father. He was later influenced by Imam Ali Naqi, Imam Ali and Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم.
