Download 2[a] is a side-scrolling 1991 shoot 'em up video game published by NEC Avenue for the PC Engine CD-ROM².[1][2][3]. It is the sequel of Download and also inspired an anime OVA.

In its special coverage of the game, Gekkan PC Engine [ja] highlighted its diversified levels.[4] Computer+Videogiochi [it], the Italian counterpart of Computer and Video Games, gave the title a very positive rating, praising its creativity and noting that the player fights Adolf Hitler's brain. [5] Hardcore Gaming 101 lamented the gameplay changes from the first title, which it considered superior. [6]
