Dink (software company)

Dink (also know as DinkDevs or Dink Studios) is a software and video game development studio based in Middlesbrough founded in August 2022 by studio Directors, Luke Mills, Oliver Lloyd and Lewis Turnbull. The studio has since gone on to work with various clients in video games and TV as well as winning multiple awards and growing the studio to 8 developers.[1] [2]

Public Projects & Works

Tranzfuser

Dink found its start by taking part in the 2021 Tranzfuser program, where they developed the game "Dutch Maximus: Out Of The Toy Box" [3]

DunDev

Taking part in the follow on program for "High Potential Studios" Dundev. Dink went on to secure Prototype Funding from the UK Games Fund, Prototype Fund which they used to develop a prototype for a new game Hamstarz: Battle Arena.[4][5]

Dink worked alongside the BBC to develop video game content and graphics for the third season of their video game themed show Lagging which aired on CBBC and IPlayer [6]

Felling

The studio saw their first game released in 2022 through support of Publisher Unseen Galaxy of a short Puzzel Platformer about a Chameleon escaping a jungle "Get ready to put your survival instincts to the test in an ever-changing world of challenges and obstacles!" [7][8]

DrinkDevs

Dink organises an annual Game Jam event in collabration with Teesside University and other local game developers. The event was marked are "Record Breaking" for the university having over 200 developers sign up and numrous local industry from the North East such as Double Eleven, Behaviour Interactive, Tanglewood Games and Radical Forge getting involved and supporting.[9]

Accessibility Toolkit

Dink announced their plans to develop a video game accessibility toolkit for Unreal Engine not much is know about the toolkit at current time, but it is planned to be a completely free set of tools for game developers to utilize in their games to help with accessibility issues.
