The Church of Cristo Re is a religious building located in Vigevano, in province of Pavia and diocese of Vigevano.

Description and history edit

The history of the church began with the license issued by the municipality of Vigevano on 16 September 1960. It was finished in 1962 and on 7 September 1962 the building was dedicated to Christ. The owner of the building is the Parish of San Giovanni Bosco, born on 15 March 1960 and whose activity began on 11 October 1962. The church was consecrated on 15 November 1992 by the Bishop Monsignor Giovanni Locatelli.

It has a particular octagonal shape. Much is owed to the first parish priest, Father Elio Lupano, and his successors for the finishing and embellishment work on the church. Inside, the fresco behind the main altar by Piero Dalle Ceste stands out.[1]
