Costus claviger is a species of flowering plant from the genus Costus.[2]

Description edit

Costus claviger is a rhizomatous geophyte and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome.[1]

Distribution edit

Costus claviger is native to: French Guiana, Guyana and Suriname.[1][3] It preferes to grow on a granitic substrate,[4] i.e. in soil that contains granite.[5]
