Child Protection Party

The Child Protection Party is a minor political party in Australia. The party is currently only registered in South Australia.[1] led by Tony Tonkin. Its platform is based around child protection.[2]

The CPP unsuccessfully ran 2 upper house candidates at the 2018 state election with around 1.5% of the statewide vote.[3]

The party unsuccessfully ran 1 lower house candidate in 2019 federal election. [4] It was deregistered by the AEC on 30 June 2021.[5]

At the 2022 Victorian state election, the party endorsed independent candidate Eric Koelmeyer in the seat of Bundoora, as they are not registered with the Victorian Electoral Commission.[6]
