Category talk:Wikipedia files moved to Wikimedia Commons which should not be deleted

Removed category edit

In this edit, I removed this category as a subcategory of Category:Wikipedia files on Wikimedia Commons. I've done this because the category's presence in that parent category makes it show up as work to be done in the category. Thus with the category in there, the parent category can never be brought to "no backlog" status. SchuminWeb (Talk) 02:34, 4 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Is there not work to be done here? Category says "generally because the file was moved to a different name and all the links have not been corrected, or because the file that was added to Commons is not an identical copy of the file on Wikipedia". We should change the links and make sure, that image links to a identical copy (or perhaps one that is in higher resolution). If it is impossible to fix the problem (like if it is two different images) then we shuld remove the template or upload the image to Commons. --MGA73 (talk) 21:20, 23 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
