THE FLIPPERS (3rd GEN), the group who performed and popularized the hit songs DI AKO IIYAK, SA BAWAT SANDALI, I’LL FACE TOMORROW & (the iconic song) PANGAKO. BRIEF HISTORY: THE FLIPPERS (3rd Gen), are composed of four gentlemen named MARK MALANA, ERICK DIAO, ARTHUR CANDELARIA, and our new member ALVIN OCSAN. A famous BOYBAND in the country back in the 90’s, under ALPHA RECORDS. As they say, THE FLIPPERS 3rd Gen captivated the hearts of so many young Girls back then. And the most requested BOYBAND to Performed with Filipino great artists like JUN POLISTICO, IMELDA PAPIN, RICHARD REYNOSO, HAJJI ALEJANDRO, GINO PADILLA, RICHARD MERK, JO AWAYAN, LOVELY RIVERO, BO CERRUDO, RODEL NAVAL, QUAMO, RIC SEGRETO, MARCO SISON, DULCE, and a lot more. Also Performed at Holiday Inn Hotel, Philippine Plaza, Sheraton Hotel, Dusit Hotel Manila, Araneta Coliseum, PICC, Folk arts Theater, Eat Bulaga, GMA SUPER SHOW, THATS ENTERTAINMENT, LUNCH DATE, CHIBUGAN NA back in the 90’s, and recently in RJTV, EUROTV, OPM SA DWIZ 882 with RICHARD MERK, and lastly ITO ANG TAHANAN in NET25 in Manila. Just recently, THE FLIPPERS 3rd Gen receive an awards from WCEJA of Japan, courtesy of MS EMMA CORDERO, as OUTSTANDING NOSTALGIC MUSIC GROUP OF THE YEAR at Heritage Hotel, OUTSTANDING FILIPINO GROUP OF THE YEAR by SIRBISU and LA VISUAL CORP., NOSTALGIC SONGS OF THE YEAR from FASHION TRENDS at HEXAGON EVENT CENTER, and so many more The flippers started making noise in the music scene in the Phils was in 1976, when the Iconic song PANGAKO became a great hit, Then followed by SA BAWAT SANDALI, HABANG MAY BUHAY, and another hit, DI AKO IIYAK, first recorded by GABRIELLA in 1979, and followed by SUSANNA PICHAY in 1981. Also The FLIPPERS have invited a female singer by the name of LONG ESPINA for the song HABANG MAY BUHAY. In the 90s, the group discovered new members who were comforting new generations and revived the song DI AKO IIYAK. They were MARLON DE LEON, JUN RUBA, ERICK DIAO, MARK MALANA. When they were at their peak, THE FLIPPERS were the most outstanding quartet and sought after among the famous in that era But in 1996, ERIC DIAO and MARK MALANA separated from the group and went abroad. MARK continued to pursue acting. And after 27 years of absence in the Philippine entertainment scene, ERIC decided to bring back the group and invited some new members to replace the other members. And With the blessings of THE FLIPPERS Big Boss, the legendary singer and composer, DANNY SUBIDO, they are now back in the music scene. The FLIPPERS 3rd Gen are currently engaged in releasing their new songs BUHAY MUSIKERO, and their Christmas song MALIGAYANG PASKO is scheduled for release soon with the help of POLYEAST RECORDS. Also preparing for their shows in Davao, Cebu next month and abroad, particularly Japan, the US, and Canada.
