Names of subcategories edit

I think the names of the subcategories in this category (C Sharp software, C software, C++ software, etc.) could be misinterpreted. Is "C Sharp software" software that is somehow related to C#, including C# compilers, or is it software programmed in C#?

Microsoft's Visual C# compiler, for instance, is definitely related to C#, but it is not programmed in C# (it is programmed in C++, according to this page).

I suggest changing the names to Software programmed in C Sharp, Software programmed in C, Software programmed in C++, etc., to be more precise.

Or we could add the categories Software programmed in <language> as a more precise parallel to <language> software.

(Also, we already have the subcategory Free software by programming language in which all subcategories are named Free software programmed in <language>.)

Anyone have any thoughts about this? For or against?

"Flagship programming language" edit

Is it just me, or doesn't this category text make sense? I am not a native English speaker, so maybe I don't understand the meaning? --Jhertel (talk) 13:42, 22 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
