"China"/"PRC" vs. "mainland China" for page titles

edit

Following the long discussion at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (Chinese) regarding proper titling of Mainland China-related topics, polls for each single case has now been started here. Please come and join the discussion, and cast your vote. Thank you. — Instantnood 15:19, Apr 9, 2005 (UTC)

mainland designation

edit

Those two that have been banned have been edit warring over the definition. The banning administrator reverted the last edit for fairness sake. In all fairness though, Instantnoods edit limiting this [1] was unasked for, and has been reverted [2] for nearly a year. The fair thing to do is remove the contentious edit completely.

The current status of the category is to be re-named to specifically be for the PRC. The re-naming may also disagree with that limitation of mainland only. Post-rename, any sub-states of the PRC can have sub-categories in this PRC category. SchmuckyTheCat 20:18, 17 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

While admins come in to impose bans on both (or one) party, I have doubts over their objectivity when also reverting edits which consistently favours one party after the bans are in effect.--Huaiwei 03:43, 18 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
