What's the deal with this?

edit

The problem is, the word "cartoon" has two separate meanings to most people:

  1. A single drawing, printed (or on the web), in an exaggerated non-realist style, with a humorous or satirical theme, and sometimes a caption.
  2. An animated film or TV show (or individual episode of a TV show).

And in fact the old Category:Cartoons reflected this, being a hodgepodge of individual cartoons and animated TV series, which is no good. So I made this category to hold the individual printed cartoons (including "printed" on the web, I guess, if there are any; perhaps I should have called it "Individual still cartoons" but that might be opaque to some). The animated films and TV series already have their own categories under Category:Animation so they don't need to also be in a category called "Cartoons".
