Too many images that don't need to be here?

Just an observation... seems to me this area is loaded with images that really don't need to be here. The images I've run into have few and practically invisible jpg artifacts. I feel like I'm wasting my time cleaning up images where there is no difference visible to the naked eye. If it were limited to images with visible problems, then efforts would feel more worthwhile.
