MESTIZOS...Spanish Descendants? the Irony

edit

Not being mean or anything I know you just listing them how wikipedia does which disregards the whole caste system though not publicly talked about, the caste system is very much alive in these countries. Skimming through the list of "Filipinos of Spanish descent" google imaging a lot of them I can tell you that more than half are not real Spanish Descendants at all, anyone would tell you they look like asians no doupt, some of them do have the prodotype mix-race look but still not Spanish according to the Caste System Rules. That's why these terms "Mestizo" ect came about and why the caste systme was implemented in the First place! This caste system termonology is there to remind them that you are far away from being a Criollo(quintessentially Spanish) therefore is impossible that a lot of these people listed here are actual spanish descendants according to the Spanish caste system. They are instead Malay/chinese/Aeta/asian mix descendants. FACT is Filipinos of Spanish descent are actually extinct quite non-existant really.

This category is not that important

Half of these people listed are un-sourced and most of their info about being of Spanish descent are largely 'claims'. I want Wikipedia to review this category and see if its any importance or importance.Bleubeatle (talk) 02:09, 24 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
