Category talk:Deaths and funerals of British royalty

Inclusion criteria: Battles, depictions in art etc.

edit

Can battles in which British monarchs died be included e.g. Battle of Lumphanan, Battle of Hastings, Battle of Bosworth Field, Battle of Flodden? Also depictions in art such as Lady Jane Grey Preparing for Execution (painting)? Darrelljon (talk) 05:03, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

What would you see as the benefit of doing that? Nikkimaria (talk) 04:30, 4 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
It's a defining characteristic of those articles and the category could then include the deaths of Harold II, Richard III, James IV of Scotland etc. This essay relates to this. Darrelljon (talk) 09:24, 4 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
But that's not consistent with what is done for non-British monarchs, nor other topics. For example, The Death of General Wolfe is categorized as "Works about the French and Indian War" and "Paintings about death" - not directly within the categories for the war or for deaths. Similarly the Battle of the Plains of Abraham at which that death occurred contains no categories related to that death. Nikkimaria (talk) 01:26, 5 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
