I'm skeptical. Rietstap's Armorial gives two Carandini coats (neither with a title):
- Argent, on a bend azure between four ears of grain or, a lion passant or; on a chief or an eagle sable, crowned or.
- Argent, on a chevron azure, between in chief an eagle and in base a lion both sable, two ears of grain or.
(My loose translations from French blazon.) The first has a chief of the imperial arms; this could be a mark of Imperial favor, but is far more likely to mean only Ghibelline alignment (as in the arms of innumerable Italian families). —Tamfang (talk) 06:20, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
