Category structure around here

edit

This category is now down in Books by writer rather than up in Works by writer. But the bibliographies are not limited to books. I wonder whether the Books-by-writer subcats are limited to books.

The giant Works-by-writer subcat Works by American writers neither shows nor states in the preface that we have Bibliographies of American writers. Does every writer with a bibliography have a works category? I presume not.

Let me check two American women speculative fiction writers who are best known for novels (published books that contain single stories). ... Ursula K. Le Guin has cat Works by Ursula K. Le Guin with subcats including Novels. Anne McCaffrey has only Novels by Anne McCaffrey and we have pages on some other works --at least a few story collections-- that it does not contain. Neither one of these top works categories shows or states in its preface that we have a bibliography or a works navigational box, although we have both for both Le Guin and McCaffrey. See Bibliographies of American writers and American writer navigational boxes.

Is it generally true that top works categories for writers provide no aid in finding bibliographies (list articles) or works navigational boxes (templates) dedicated to their writers? I suppose it is common.
