Very large edit

This category is huge. It's bigger than Category:American lawyers and that category is tagged as very large as well. We should really trim down on the number of articles on professional wrestlers on Wikipedia. I wouldn't mind if the bios actually stated why these performers are notable, but most of them focus on title lists. --Jtalledo (talk) 02:10, 5 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

We could split it by state, but this would reduce the usefulness of the categories for browsing, and would mean that itinerant wrestlers appeared in several different sub-cats. McPhail 15:31, 5 October 2005 (UTC)Reply
True. Right now the only way the category could be trimmed is by deleting articles and I don't think that would go over very well. --Jtalledo (talk) 23:55, 5 October 2005 (UTC)Reply
I suggest that the articles in the state categories be moved back into the main category. I don't see what the problem is about having a large category, and it makes the categorization of new articles easier. I'm not into wrestling, I just cleanup and categorize the articles. -- Kjkolb 03:51, 28 October 2005 (UTC)Reply
I agree. The only way to resolve this properly is by finding articles to delete though. --Jtalledo (talk) 03:56, 28 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Moving the articles into state categories is a very bad idea as it hinders access to them. I probably create more subcategories than anyone else, but if a category that doesn't have appropriate categories is large we just have to live with it. I will remove the notice.
