  • How is this category meaningfully different from Category:Journals ?? --lquilter 04:34, 13 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
    • See the aticle on Journal., which is a much wider term. Probably most of the items listed there should be moved, not to just here, but to the mre specific subject categories, unless they were double posted in the first place. For the phrase academic or scholarly journal, the term journal means peer-review journal in contrast to the term magazine, which is edited but not per reviewed. This is thel definition used in instructions to students and library help pages, and reference books. Whether or not it is confusing, we can't change the RW. I'll look at the group of categories &articles & make sure its clear. I've been meaning to do it for a while. Thanks for the reminder. DGG 01:25, 14 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
      • This is not at all clear. In the category Journals, it states "This is a category intended for academic journals." In this category, it states "Category for academic journals." So, there is still some clarification needed. Coyets (talk) 13:28, 7 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Arbitrator Carcharoth mentioned this category to me, and I'd like to help to understand how to make this category more useful to Wikipedians. I have an interest in bibliography, and good access (online access and circulating access) to a huge academic library, so feel free to suggest ways I can help. -- WeijiBaikeBianji (talk) 05:10, 18 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
