editBackground
editCapital Collision is an annual professional wrestling event produced by New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). Since its inception, it is held annually at Washington, D.C.'s Entertainment and Sports Arena. The inaugural Capital Collision took place on May 14, 2022.[1][2] The second Capital Collision took place on April 15, 2023, thus establishing Capital Collision as an annual event.[3][4] On April 12, 2024, it was announced that the third Capital Collision would take place on August 30, 2024.[5]
Storylines
editCapital Collision will feature professional wrestling matches that involved different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds and storylines. Wrestlers portray villains, heroes, or less distinguishable characters in the scripted events that built tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.[6][7]
