History

Cagemax was founded in 1997 by Richard Kooi.[1] The company supplies animal proteins and fats to a variety of industries including pet food, aquafeed, compound feed, fertiliser, and bioenergy.[1] In 25 years, Cagemax has built a network of more than 100 suppliers in 30 countries.[2][3]

Since 1997, Cagemax has been trading animal proteins and fats.[4] They have built up their business by supplying large quantities to several large and smaller pet food producers.

Later on, Cagemax expanded its business by supplying raw materials (animal by-products, organic by-products, and waste products) to the aquafeed, compound feed, fertilizer, and energy sectors.[5]

The key company products include: processed animal protein, poultry meal, poultry fat, feather meal, fish meal, fish oil, blood meal, and lamb meal.[1]

Cagemax adheres to the HACCP program, which identifies and controls potential hazards at all stages of the food chain, ensuring the safety of pet nutrition.[citation needed]

In addition, the company is ISCC-EU certified to guarantee a sustainable value chain. SKAL certification confirms that their bio-organic company products comply with European Union regulations.[citation needed]
