History edit

In April 2022, the University Grants Commission (UGC) directed the university to stop enrolling students. The UGC stated that the university has been operating without a vice chancellor appointed by the chancellor since 2017, and has never had a pro-vice chancellor or treasurer. The teaching staff is inadequate in number and qualifications, and no research is being conducted. Furthermore, the university has failed to move to a permanent campus by the statutory deadline, and "the library is useless".[1][2]

Campus edit

Until permanent facilities are constructed, Britannia University's temporary campus is at Paduar Bazar in Comilla town.[3]
