Bill Canady is an American business executive, author, and CEO known for his leadership in various companies. He serves as the Chief Executive Officer of OTC Industrial Technologies and Arrowhead Engineered Products. Canady is also the founder of Profitable Growth Now, LLC (PGN, LLC) and developed the Profitable Growth Operating System (PGOS).[1]

Early life and education

Bill Canady graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Elmhurst University.[2][3] He earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.[2][3]

Career

Canady has held senior leadership roles in both public and private equity-owned companies.[3] As CEO of OTC Industrial Technologies (formerly Ohio Transmission Corporation),[4][5][6] he leads an organization with over 30 operating companies.[7] The company generates $1 billion in annual sales and employs over 2,000 people. Under his leadership, the company achieved a 43% increase in revenues and a 78% increase in earnings.[8][9]

Canady also serves as the CEO of Arrowhead Engineered Products, a global firm headquartered in Blaine, Minnesota.[4] He manages operations that produce around $1.5 billion in annual sales across 50 countries.[9]

In 2017, Canady joined Swagelok as president and chief operating officer.[2][10][11]

Canady developed the Profitable Growth Operating System (PGOS) to help middle-market companies achieve sustainable growth.[12][13] PGOS focuses on five management practices: 80/20 segmentation, lean continuous improvement, mergers and acquisitions, data-driven strategy, and talent management.[14][9] PGOS has generated over $3 billion in shareholder value.[9]
