Millan-Windorski's maternal grandmother, Marcela Buenavista Millan, migrated to the United States from La Union, in the Philippines.[2]

She went to Whitefish Bay High School and later graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with majors in History and International Relations. She has conducted research and written articles on US-ASEAN relations.[2]

She recently[when?] completed a fellowship with the Philippine Embassy and an internship at the East-West Center in Washington, D.C.[2]

Miss Earth USA 2024

Millan-Windorski represented Wisconsin at the national pageant held in Orlando, Florida, and won the title.[3] She became the first Filipino-American to hold the national title.[4]
